This qualification process is a real mess ...![]()
Anyway, as an information, the teams participating in the European qualification tournament seem to be the ones below.
If the CEV uses their normal seeding scheme, the groups should look like this:
Group A
BUL
GER
ESP
SLO
Group B
ITA
SRB
FIN
SVK
After many unlucky drawings, this looks like the best possible pool for Germany.
But to go to the Olympics one has to WIN this tournament ...![]()

Pool B is really a challenge... All four teams are among the best in the Europe. Perhaps the top 2 of pool B will meet in the final.

On the press conference of BVF today, it was said that the lot will be transmitted live on BNT on 20 January. We'll insist on to be leaders of one of the pools for the lot , because we're hosts.

In Bulgaria , in hotel "Kempinski" in Sofia. Dancho Lazarov (the president of our federation) said that the official accredited people for the drawing from CEV are the First Vice president of CEV Philippe Berben and also Slobodan Milosevic - Secretary-general of Serbian Volleybal Federation and member of the Sports Commission to CEV.
