I would call Raphael de Oliveira, he is better than Ricardo currently. I would also try to replace the libero, although he played good at the final round, he is breakable by consistent strong serving and this can be used by the opponent for direct points in important moments.
Absolutely, he'd be my number 1 choice too, hands down. But he didn't even make the first list for WL, which cointaned 4 setters other than him. There's not a chance in hell he'll play in the WC. Maybe he has a shot for the Olympic Games, if he's called next year, but unfortunately, I don't even see that happening. At least we have a great number of excellent setters right now for male NT, which is not the same in our female NT.
I think there's probably 6 or 7 setters right now that are in the same level as Marlon and Bruno. Ricardo and Raphael are clearly a step ahead.
