Stats from yesterday's Ned-Slo game will be more than welcomed :drink:

Slovenian men's team these days, paying a short preparatory tournament in the Netherlands, which has so far played two games with their team as a preparation for pre-qualification tournament for the London Olympics to be held in Osijek from 22 and 26 November.
The first match on Saturday, they played in Amsterdam, the Slovenians get a quite impressive with 3:1 (17:25, 25:18, 28:26, 25:21). Despite only average, are of particular Slovenes winning point in the attack and block, where they won 14 points, but the best was Šket with 18 points and captain Urnaut with 14 points. Netherlands played most of the game with the following names: Robert Horstink, Jeroen Trommel, Wytze Kooistra, Rob Bontje, Niels Klapwijk and Yannick van Harskamp. Jeroen Rauwerdink missing due to a broken finger.
The second match of our play today in what Wijchenu before 1200 spectators. Coach Edwin Benne began the game with Yannick Harskamp, Niels Klapwijk, Lars Lorsheijd, Wytze Kooistra, Robert Horstink, Jelte Moon and Gijs Jorna at the libero position. The coach also brought Nimir Abdelaziz, Tony Krolis and captain Rob Bontje during the competition in the field. This time they were the best hosts that match get the same result 1:3 (16:25, 22:25, 31:29, 23:25). Our sins are much more, especially at the beginning, while the coach also much more rapidly changed, as they played almost all the National Teams. Perhaps we could also pull out the fifth set, as in the fourth, when they blew Ropret and Sket, has led to the 23:22, but at the end are just glorified home. Most of the time points collected Gasparini (14), slightly less Čebulj (11) and ten in Šket and Urnaut.
"After two grueling matches and training sessions, our already somewhat tired, but the matches here are extremely useful," he said after the first defeat of the assistant coach Tina Sattler and mention that the Dutch have a great band. "Otherwise, tomorrow will be another opportunity for our young team to play a good game again with quality opponents," he said in Wijchenu Sattler.
So our boys waiting for tomorrow, a third match, which will be played in Groeningenu at 19.30, then on Tuesday morning by plane back to Slovenia.

Now You should repay Me.

Thank you very much, kind sir :drink:

On Saturday and Sunday Germany will play the Netherlands in two friendly matches in Kienbaum. The matches will take place under exclusion of the public. So i guess, we won't hear much more from it than the result.

Afterwards German NT Coach Stewart Bernard will select 12 players for the tournament in France. Currently there are 16 players in the roster.

No, unfortunately there are no stats available.

The second match, which was scheduled for today, was cancelled, as the Netherlands had no healthy setter anymore.

On Monday Coach Stewart Bernard will announce the final 12-player roster for the tournament in France.

Wow that is a big change! Who are the new players and who is not on the team anymore? It is strange after they won the Asian Championships and beat some god teams like Poland and Serbia at the world cup.

he thinks that team was too old, and that's why Iran had a very bad finish in World Cup after that good start. The current squad is very young with only few experienced players

those 7 players not on the team anymore

Amir Hosseini - starting setter
Mehdi Bazargard - starting opposite
Arash Kamalvand - starting OH , Asian Championships MVP / seriously injured
Farhad Nazari-Afshari - starting OH in pre-Velasco era, bench player in his team, AVC Cup MVP
Ali Hossein - reserve libero (played two matches in WC against POL and ARG and Iran won both matches)
Hesam Bakhsheshi - reserve MB
Arash Keshavarzi - reserve OH

---
Velasco kept Nadi, Mousavi, Zarini, Fayazi, Ghafour, Mahdavi and Zarif from the previous team.
Saeid Marouf will be starting setter, he had this position from 2007 to 2010 (the previous coach had personal problems with Hosseini) last year he left the team because of Hosseini (the don't like each other)
The new players are Mojtaba Mirzajanpour, Farhad Ghaemi, Alireza Jadidi, Reza Ghara, Shahram Mahmoudi, Alireza Mobasheri and Hassan Senobari. from these players, Mirzajanpour has a very good chance to be a starter. he was in Velasco's plan last year too but missed the World Cup for some stupid administrative problems.
